Miranda takes 'Miss Marple' role on Celebrity Traitors as fans praise her time in the castle

Miranda Hart has her detective hat on in Celebrity Traitors, and fans are loving it. The comedian is among the latest batch of stars to head to the Scottish castle in a bid to weed out the Traitors and take home the cash prize for their chosen charity.
Miranda is among the Faithfuls, telling host Claudia Winkleman in the first episode that she fancies herself as Miss Marple when it comes to spotting who could be a Traitor.
And as it turns out, she's not far wrong, having almost immediately twigged during last night's episode that Hannah Fry had been recruited by Traitors Maya Jama and James Acaster following Richard E. Grant's banishment.

She also correctly suspected Richard as a Traitor, though that wasn't exactly hard, given he told his fellow contestants that he was a Traitor only moments after being chosen.
Nevertheless, fans have been loving having Miranda back on our TV screens, hailing her detective skills and naming her "leader of the Faithfuls".
Fan page Celebrity Traitors HQ posted: "Miranda is playing the game so well. She’s not too loud, not too quiet. She’s also looking for behaviour changes and actual evidence. Miss Marple is shaking in her tweed blazer, there’s a new detective in town."
One user replied: "The way she recognised Hannah's nervousness at breakfast was brilliant and kept it quiet - if seen to be too clever, she'll be murdered. Very impressive Miranda!"
Another joked: "Somewhere someone is wondering if they can redo the Margaret Rutherford version of Miss Marple with Miranda."

One said: "Miranda is the underrated player in this game. She’s onto the Traitors like a tramp on chips.
"Some really good players are starting to form in this game, and I think we’re in for some interesting turns. Can’t wait."
Many labelled Miranda their "queen", while others said her appearance on the show had sparked their desire to rewatch her sitcom series Miranda.
Her Celebrity Traitors success comes after Miranda stepped away from the limelight due to long-term health issues.
Reflecting on the pressure of returning to TV, she said in her opening interview for the show: "I haven’t done much TV work for a long time, having only recently come out of long-term ill health issues, and when I was offered this, my whole body sort of relaxed, I smiled, and I just wanted to jump about like a schoolgirl with joy.

"I’m still living with elements of ME, and that brings fatigue and pain to manage, but I have come to a point where I feel well enough to step out, and that’s also partly why I’m doing this.
"The joy of mucking about on television again will hopefully outweigh some of the challenges. And I think it will be challenging on my body, so it’ll be interesting, and it’ll take some courage as this is a big next step.
"When you live with a chronic illness, it’s invisible, so people don’t know that you’re sitting there in pain. But then it reminds you that everybody’s got their thing."
The Celebrity Traitors airs on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
