Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan brings his Texas ranch brand to Las Vegas with new steakhouse

Translate

Sheridan is known for being the visionary responsible for the "Yellowstone" universe. The Paramount Network series starring Kevin Costner dominated TV for five seasons, and resulted in multiple prequels and spinoffs.

However, Sheridan's success isn't drilled down to just the neo-Western drama. His other monster hits include "Sicario," "Wind River," "Lioness," "Landman" and several other projects.

He's also the owner of the 6666 ranch in Texas, and is now linking it up with Sin City.

Taylor Sheridan expands footprint in Las Vegas.

There aren't many things on this planet I enjoy more than visiting Las Vegas and watching Sheridan's work. Well, the two worlds are now smashing together.

The MGM Grand in Las Vegas announced on Thursday that it's opening the Four Sixes Ranch Steakhouse at the resort in 2027.

The restaurant will feature "signature cuts sourced directly from Four Sixes Ranch and bold flavors rooted in authentic Texas cuisine," according to the release.

Sheridan's 6666 ranch is roughly 260,000 acres and raises Angus cattle.

The release also states that the restaurant will have "digital walls showcasing custom footage from Sheridan, bringing the landscapes and spirit of the American West."

Sounds like the people rolling it out know the exact kind of customer they're looking to attract. This also isn't Sheridan's first rodeo (no pun intended) in Las Vegas. He previously had a popup restaurant at the Wynn in Las Vegas.

More than anything, this move by Sheridan goes to show how his influence far expands past just entertainment. He's the most powerful and influential person in the industry by orders of magnitude at the moment, and that's why his NBCUniversal deal is reportedly worth more than $1 billion.

Maybe he'll spend some of that cash to expand his land empire, which is already among the biggest in the world.
