Effi Nave, Eitan Orenstein judicial probe transferred to Tel Aviv prosecutors for review
Police have completed their investigation into suspicions that former Israel Bar Association chairman Effi Nave helped advance Eitan Orenstein’s appointment as president of the Tel Aviv District Court in exchange for moving another judge out of cases relevant to Nave’s legal practice, police announced Wednesday.
The evidence has been transferred to the Tel Aviv District Attorney’s Office (Taxation and Economics), which supervised the investigation, for review and a decision on how to proceed. The announcement did not specify whether police recommended charges.
