Lucena teen, older companion shot dead while hunting spiders


LUCENA CITY — A fifteen-year-old boy was killed alongside a 26-year-old companion while their group of friends scavenged for spiders on Monday night.
According to a spot report from the Lucena City police, the victims were out hunting for spiders with four other friends in Purok Jasmine, Barangay Domoit when they were assaulted by a suspect at 10:30 p.m.
Police said a 38-year-old farm manager – without apparent reason or provocation – allegedly fired a shotgun, killing the boy and the older victim.

The four other companions scampered away after hearing the gunshots.
