Actress Sharon Rooney and comedian Joanne McNally both face banishment in a nail-biting cliffhanger on Celebrity Traitors.

The two faithfuls both fell under suspicion during Friday’s episode and garnered an equal number of votes during the roundtable.

In a second round of voting, the final and deciding vote lay with content creator and traitor King Kenny, but the episode concluded before viewers found out who was eliminated from the show.

Kenny was given a double vote at the roundtable after he was selected to receive a dagger during the mission as he was deemed to be among the most trusted.

The other two players deemed to be the most trusted were traitors Maya Jama and James Acaster.

Earlier in the episode, comedian Miranda Hart fell victim to the traitors as she was killed off for being “a good detective”.

Discussing the decision to take her out, Acaster said: “She’s a good detective, she’s looking at all of us, she is the most likely to wake up one day and say, ‘it’s Maya, Kenny and James’.”

Upon learning the news she had been killed, just hours after she tentatively raised questions about comedian McNally, Hart said: “No. Absolutely not.

“I am so cross with myself, I was wholly focusing on my Joanne issue.”

Hart became emotional as she said the show had allowed her to “get back and do the thing that I love professionally, and do the things I love personally, wandering round the Scottish Highlands and connecting in nature.

“There was times I didn’t think that would be possible again.”

Hart has previously spoken about the fatigue she suffers a result of her chronic illness, which she has previously linked to her Lyme disease diagnosis.

After learning of her murder, McNally said: “She was really powerful, Miranda was like the mother.”
