Translate

EXCLUSIVE: Here’s your first look at Gabrielle Union in supernatural horror-thriller Casket Girls, in which she stars with Mike Colter.

The film follows “Detective Shay Williams (Union) and her partner Galpin (Colter) as they investigate a child’s supernatural encounter and accidentally release the legendary ‘Casket Girls’ from beneath a centuries-old New Orleans church. Trapped inside, they and a handful of survivors must outwit the bloodthirsty vampires before they’re picked off one by one.”

Aura Entertainment recently acquired the U.S rights to the film, which Capture is selling internationally at the TIFF market.

Directed by Justin G. Dyck (Creepshow), pic is produced by QC Entertainment, best known for Jordan Peele’s Oscar-winning Get Out and Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman. The film also stars Raúl Castillo, Matt Frewer and Thomas Lennon.

The film was originally written by Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant, with revisions by Keith Cooper and Justin G. Dyck. Sean McKittrick and Raymond Mansfield produce for QC Entertainment, with Edward H. Hamm Jr., Jameson Parker and Gabrielle Union serving as executive producers.

Aura’s slate also includes Code 3, K-Pops!Trap House, and recent releases Icefall, Hungry, and upcoming The Beast.
