Nippon Steel plans $1B investment in Slovakia's Kosice steelworks

Nippon Steel (NPSCY) (NISTF) said Wednesday it plans to spend ~€900M ($1.04B) in Slovakia on a new electric arc furnace and a new air separation unit to bolster its supply of high-grade, low-carbon steel products.
