‘The Kitchen’ Sets Food Network Return Date For Special Episode

Translate

The Kitchen is returning to the Food Network less than a year after its cancellation.

Garden Slate Productions, which produced the show for the network, shared a behind-the-scenes teaser of some of the hosts filming a special episode.

The new episode airs Saturday, October 31, at 11 a.m. ET on the Food Network.

The video features four hosts: Katie Lee Biegel, Geoffrey Zakarian, Alex Guarnaschelli, and Jeff Mauro. Sunny Anderson, who was part of the core cast when the show went off the air, was not on the set. It is unknown if she will be part of the special.

Earlier this year, Mauro, Zakarian, and Biegel teased that they had filmed a special episode of The Kitchen.

In October 2025, Food Network confirmed it had canceled The Kitchen after more than 10 years on the air and a couple of Daytime Emmy nominations. The last episode of the cooking talk show would air in December of that same year.

“The last episode of The Kitchen @foodnetwork is this morning! Thank you so much for 12 great years and over 500 episodes!!! I will miss our crew so much and so appreciate all of you for letting us do what we love to do for so long. What an amazing ride!!!” Katie Lee posted on Instagram on the show’s last day on the air.

Sunny Anderson shared a couple of posts, starting with a reflection on her time on the show.

“Is it the end? Or the beginning? This is how you must look at all change in LIFE…cuz we are still living, it’s not the end until it’s over,” Anderson posted. “Still thankful!!! Today is the last ep!! 40 seasons just doesn’t happen to many in this game…ya never gonna catch me mad or sad about this win!!!! Today on #thekitchen…huevos rancheros in an edible vessel and i just booked a holiday vacay 80% on points!? I’m unstoppable!!!”
