Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Naomi Osaka are among the big names who are set to compete in the latest edition of One Point Slam ahead of the Australian Open 2027.

The event, which pits professional players against amateur qualifiers, sees competitors play matches that last just a single point in a knockout bracket that included men and women for a prize of a million Australian dollars.

The 2027 edition will take place on January 13 in advance of the main tournament, which will be between January 17 and 31.

Last year’s winner was Jordan Smith, an amateur who defeated Jannik Sinner on his way to the final. He eventually won when Chinese Taipei’s Joanna Garland sent a backhand wide in the final.

“At the heart of the creation of the 1 Point Slam is our desire to even more deeply connect the Australian Open to every tennis community in the country,” Andrew Abdo, Tennis Australia’s new chief executive, said on Thursday.
