Sobhita Dhulipala has spoken about the scrutiny women face in the public eye amid online commentary surrounding Katrina Kaif’s appearance following the birth of her son. Addressing the broader issue of public criticism, Sobhita said women are often expected to meet multiple, sometimes conflicting, expectations while also acknowledging that individuals respond to scrutiny differently.

At a recent NDTV event, Sobhita was asked about the criticism women in the entertainment industry can face, in the context of the online discussion surrounding Katrina Kaif. The 'Night Manager' actor said there is no single way for women to deal with public scrutiny, pointing out that people respond to criticism according to their individual circumstances.“Women are expected to be strong, women are expected to be sensitive, women are expected to be many things.

And different women handle things differently, so there is no generic rule. Like when you say that public criticism is disappointing, I am sure it can be for many people; we are all human. We just deal with it in a way that makes sense for us,” she said.

Salman Khan defends Katrina Kaif amid online comments

Katrina Kaif also received support from several members of the film industry amid the online discussion about her appearance after becoming a mother. Salman Khan addressed the issue while discussing the expectations placed on women after pregnancy.

Questioning why people were commenting on Katrina's weight and appearance, he said, “Pregnant hone ke baad everyone puts on weight.”Salman also said that Katrina could regain her fitness when she returned to films and suggested that she should be allowed to spend time with her family after welcoming her child.Hrithik Roshan, who has worked with Katrina in 'Bang Bang!' and 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara', also appeared to show support by liking a social-media post defending the actor, although he did not directly comment on the controversy.
