The Celebrity Traitors' James Blunt confirms next TV project with Waterloo Road star

The Celebrity Traitors star James Blunt has confirmed his next TV project, with the singer set to perform at the Royal Variety Performance. The annual event will also once again be hosted by Waterloo Road's Jason Manford, with the list of further performers also unveiled.
This year's event will be attended by King Charles III and Queen Camilla, the latter making her first appearance as Queen.
Alongside Blunt, who can currently be seen on The Celebrity Traitors, there will also be turns from Vanessa Williams, who sings 'Save The Best For Last', as well as Jack Savoretti, Andrea Bocelli, and Alfie Boe leading the National Anthem.

As tradition, this year's Britain's Got Talent winners will also take to the stage, with The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir set to perform after their victory earlier this year.
Wicked's Idina Menzel will celebrate the show's 20th anniversary by singing iconic song 'The Wizard & I', and she'll be joined by composer Stephen Schwartz.
There will also be a performance from the West End version of The Greatest Showman, as well as Billy Elliot the Musical, Operation Mincemeat and Jesus Christ Superstar with Sam Ryder, while Avenue Q's 'For Now' and 'It Sucks To Be Me' will be specially rewritten for the Royal Variety.
Also on the bill are Cirque Alice's The Ramadhani Brothers and Veronika Ivanova, and there will be comedy from Milton Jones and Phil Wang.
"What a huge privilege to be asked to host The Royal Variety Performance for a third time," Manford said. "It’s an amazing line up, in aid of a wonderful charity so I can’t wait for everybody to see what surprises we have up our sleeves this year."
Blunt is competing at the moment on the BBC reality show, filmed earlier this year, with the season entering its final week.
The Celebrity Traitors airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
