The 20th edition of the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, began on Saturday, September 19 and will continue until October 4.
Swimming events for this edition of the quadrennial showpiece will be hosted at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre between September 20 and 25.
India is fielding an all-male 12-member squad in the sport where historically it has won a total of nine medals. But they will need to put in a sterling effort to end India’s medal wait at the Asian Games.
Sandeep Sejwal was the last swimmer from the country to clinch an Asian Games medal, when he won a bronze in 50m breaststroke in 2014.
