Hollyoaks reveals game-changing Imran Maalik twist in streaming episode

Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Wednesday’s episode (14 October), which is available to watch now on streaming service Channel 4 and hasn’t yet aired on TV.

Hollyoaks has aired a shocking final scene as Imran Maalik’s surprising connection with another villager has been revealed. In recent episodes, Imran has grown closer to his ex-fiancée Leah Barnes, following her horror accident amid a confrontation with her brother Lucas Hay.

With Leah having discovered that missing Lucas had been spotted by an online influencer at a food van in Chester, in today’s episode Imran headed to the scene to investigate.

At the hospital, Leela was keen to call the police on Lucas out of concern that he is involved with Ste’s disappearance, but Leah jumped to her brother’s defence and urged Leela to let her reach out to him first.

Leah called Imran for an update, but when Imran spotted Lucas returning to the food van, he hung up and took matters into his own hands.

Meanwhile, Jenson overheard Leah trying to get in touch with Imran and encouraged her to cut him some slack.

Jenson revealed Imran had helped him identity to the man in the photo with Ste and to take down Gemma, using an app on his laptop to recover deleted recordings – which was news to Leah.

In Chester, Imran discretely approached Lucas, who ran off immediately. A chase unfolded on a building site, but when the pair came face to face, some metal construction rods fell and crushed Lucas.

Horrified, Imran went to call an ambulance, but instead he panicked and phoned someone else, telling the mysterious person that he needs them before leaving Lucas unconscious.

Imran returned to the village and found Leah outside the houseboat. Inside, Leah thanked Imran for his support and made clear that she wanted them to get back together.

After deciding that Leah would move back into the boat, the pair kissed and looked to get their relationship back on track. But when Imran left to make a cup of tea, Leah used the opportunity to snoop on his computer.

Imran spotted someone at the door and met them outside, apologising for breaking his promise to never call them and admitting he was in over his head about the Lucas situation.

It was then revealed that the mystery person was none other than Cindy, who asked Imran what he had done.

Will next week’s special flashback episode explain Imran and Cindy’s connection – and will Lucas be okay after being left for dead?

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
