As Meek Mill once rapped, “It’s levels to this s–t.” Charlamagne Tha God warned EJ Johnson about criticizing Rihanna during the Saturday (Oct. 10) episode of The Brilliant Idiots.

As a radio personality who’s well-versed in public feuds, Charlamagne shared some advice for EJ — the child of basketball legend Magic Johnson — which revolved around being smarter about choosing his opposition. Essentially, CTG believes it’s a no-win situation when attacking the likes of RiRi, Beyoncé or other Black queens.

“Now listen, there’s a lot of queens EJ stepping on. Like 99 percent of queens EJ stepping on,” he said. “But it’s that one percent that EJ just not going to ever be able to touch. Rihanna’s one of them. Beyoncé’s one of them.”

Charlamagne continued: “I respect EJ’s place in this queendom, but he’s gotta know there’s certain queens he’s never gonna outshine. Rihanna, Beyoncé — of course the OG queens, the Patti LaBelles, the Stephanie Mills, all of them like that. Other than that, EJ, you having your way with these hoes out here. They all hating on you.”

EJ Johnson had called out Rihanna in a social media video at Paris Fashion Week, alleging that the Fenty Beauty mogul’s tardiness caused Dior to delay the fashion house’s Sept. 29 show for an hour.

“It did start an hour late because Rihanna’s was late and we didn’t care to wait for her, but the show was beautiful nonetheless,” the 34-year-old TV personality said in a TikTok.

Rihanna didn’t respond publicly to Johnson’s claims about her attending the Dior show, but clapped back with a slick one-word reply a few days later, as footage of Johnson being blocked from entering their Paris hotel went viral.

“Damn,” Ri wrote in the comments, which now has more 47,000 likes.

Rihanna’s response lit the fuse as fans continued to gas their feud on social media. “She’s the Dior ambassador so of course they’re going to wait for the FACE of Dior,” one person wrote on IG.

EJ Johnson previously slammed Rihanna when it came to her look at the 2026 Met Gala, which Johnson believed “did not eat.”

Watch the episode below. Charlamagne talking about EJ Johnson and Rihanna takes place around 12 minutes in.
