WATCH: IDF uncovers Hezbollah posters in child’s bedroom, weapons in southern Lebanon civilian home
IDF troops operating in the security zone in southern Lebanon uncovered Hezbollah terrorist paraphernalia and multiple weapons in a civilian home, the military revealed on Sunday.
The arms and terror paraphernalia were discovered as the IDF’s 769th Brigade worked to dismantle Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure in the El-Khiam area of southern Lebanon.
A video shared by the IDF shows posters of Hezbollah terrorists, including former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, plastered on the walls of the child’s bedroom.
In the same house, the troops found guns, ammunition magazines, and terrorist equipment.
Additional weapons, including rockets, Kalashnikov rifles, ammunition, and explosive drones, were found in other locations in the security zone.
The troops also located and dismantled an explosive drone storage facility in the area.
Lebanon charged 13 Hezbollah terrorists for explosives smuggling attempt
The Lebanese government is also making efforts to curb the influence of and disarm Hezbollah as the Lebanese Military Court charged 13 Hezbollah terrorists over the weekend in connection with an explosives smuggling operation.
Of the thirteen men charged, two were arrested while transporting the explosives and are the only terrorists still in Lebanese custody.
The explosives were discovered in October at a checkpoint in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, leading to suspicions that they may have been intended for use in a political assassination.
Hezbollah claimed that the explosives were intended to be used against Israel, but Lebanese commentators said that they were the same type as materials used in a truck bombing that killed former Lebanese prime minister Rafic Hariri.
