Benguet town warns vs bogus fire extinguisher sellers


BAGUIO CITY — The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Itogon town, Benguet has warned residents and business establishments against individuals allegedly using the agency’s name to sell fire extinguishers.
In an advisory issued Friday (Sept. 18), the BFP-Itogon said the individuals, reportedly traveling in a gray van, have been going around the municipality offering fire extinguishers.
The BFP clarified that its personnel are not authorized to sell or endorse any brand of fire extinguisher.

It urged the public to verify the identity of anyone claiming to represent the agency and report suspicious individuals to the Poblacion Fire Station, Tuding Substation, or 0930-793-2832. /das
