Siddharth P Malhotra confirms ‘Ikka 2’ and ‘Shaque Season 2’; says ‘Haven't got so many calls for a series before’

Filmmaker and producer Siddharth P Malhotra is enjoying a strong 2026. Earlier this year, his OTT film ‘Ikka’, featuring Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna, drew plenty of attention. Now his web series ‘Shaque: Trust No One’, streaming on the same platform, is also getting a good response.

Following their success, the filmmaker shared a big update.

Siddharth P Malhotra confirms ‘Ikka 2’ and ‘Shaque Season 2’

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Malhotra confirmed that both projects are getting sequels. "Ikka has broken records. There is Ikka 2 being worked on. Shaque has now broken records, and Shaque Season 2 is being done. It has been a great year. Shaque Season 2 won't continue the same story; it will be a new story. But a season 2 is in the works. We are writing it," he said.

‘Ikka’ plot: a lawyer's most controversial case

'Ikka' centres on a respected lawyer whose dedication to justice is tested to the limit when he takes up one of the most controversial cases of his career. A legal fight slowly turns into a deeply personal struggle, leaving every character to grapple with loyalty, family and sacrifice. Combining courtroom drama with strong emotional stakes, the film explores how far a person will go to protect those they love.

Sunny Deol on ‘Ikka’ being more than a courtroom drama

Earlier, Sunny told The Hollywood Reporter about the project, "'IKKA' is not just a courtroom drama.

It is a story about family, relationships, and the difficult choices life forces you to make. Arjun is a man who believes in doing what is right, but circumstances push him to question everything around him. His pain, his anger, his silence, and his fight for what he believes in are what drew me to this character."

‘Shaque’ plot: a mother's search for her missing daughter

Meanwhile, ‘Shaque’ tells the story of Anvita (Parineeti Chopra), a mother whose daughter Apeksha is taken from her on the very day she is born. Over the next eight years, her grief turns into an unrelenting search for the child she firmly believes is still alive. The cast includes Parineeti Chopra, Jennifer Winget, Harleen Sethi, Soni Razdan, Anup Soni, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Dhruv Chaudhary and Sumeet Vyas. And in this story, trusting anyone is a mistake.
