Ibrahimovic returns to Milan training centre six months after Allegri clash

Sky Sport Italia reports that RedBird advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned to Milanello for the first time in over six months on Monday and watched Milan’s training session from the sidelines.

Milan legend Ibrahimovic was spotted at Milanello this morning and followed the Rossoneri’s training session under Amorim.

As reported by Sky Sport Italia, Ibrahimovic had not been at Milanello for over six months.

The last time Ibrahimovic was seen at the Rossoneri training centre, he had a strong confrontation with ex-Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri, the report claims.

Following that clash, Ibrahimovic appeared to assume a reduced role in Milan’s project for the remainder of the previous campaign.

Milan ultimately failed to qualify for the Champions League, finishing fifth, and Allegri was sacked the day after the 2025-26 campaign ended.

Sky Sport stresses that, despite being physically far from the team’s day-to-day activities, Ibrahimovic’s collaboration with Milan owner Gerry Cardinale has remained very much active over the last few months.

Ibrahimovic followed Monday’s training session from the sidelines and is expected to be in the stands at San Siro on Wednesday, when Milan host Benfica in their 2026-27 Europa League opener.
