Assassin's Creed Officially Bringing Back Kassandra December 2026

Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

It was back in 2018 that Ubisoft introduced us to Kassandra, one of two playable protagonists in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Taking us to 431 to 422 BCE and telling the mythological history of the Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta, the eleventh Assassin's Creed installment allowed players to choose between a male or female Spartan warrior. For those who choose to play as a female, they will unlock Kassandra, and now, almost a decade on, she has become one of the most recognizable figures in AC history.

Back in 2018, our very own Rob Gordon awarded Assassin's Creed Odyssey with a very respectable 8/10, with his review reading:

There may still be some questions about exactly how well this larger map and open ideology works with what Assassin's Creed is meant to be, but overall Assassin's Creed Odyssey is an excellent next part of the series. With some of the best combat in the franchise to date and a fantastic world to be lost in, Odyssey is a full and vibrant experience for any action RPG fan to enjoy. It's certainly enough to stop fans from wondering what to do with no new Assassin's Creed game in 2019.

Despite Kassandra only starring in Assassin's Creed Odyssey (as well as her role in the VR spin-off title), it seems as though she is set to return this December with an exciting new release. As such, the beloved character will no longer be underused in the hit franchise.

It may not be as exciting as another mainline installment, but in December 2026, fans can get their hands on an immortalized Kassandra courtesy of PureArts. Unlike the version of the far more expensive 1:4 scale model, this figure may not include customizable components, but this 1:8 version comes alongside a much more reasonable price. The item description reads:

"The iconic PureArts Animus Kassandra 1:4 Scale Statue, now in a 1:8 Scale Statue! Deadly Spartan mercenary and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey protagonist Kassandra is ready for battle with her Misthios battle attire and broken spear atop an Ancient Greece-inspired base depicting Alexios in battle."

A statue of Kassandra from Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

Available for pre-order now, the PureArts Animus Kassandra 1:4 Scale Statue comes in at $119, as opposed to the $899 price tag for the 1:4 scale model, and will begin shipping between September and December 2026. As such, it will be the perfect gift for the Assassin's Creed lover in your life ahead of the festive period.

If Kassandra is not your favorite Assassin's Creed protagonist, fear not, as PureArts has a large selection of figures available, including ones that depict Ezio, Edward, Eivor, Bayek, Connor, and more. With a statue for every installment, you are guaranteed to find your favorite.

As for the video game series, it is believed that Assassin's Creed Hexe will be the next mainline installment, taking us to the 16th and 17th-century European witch trials in the Holy Roman Empire. At the time of writing, we do not have a release date, but it seems as though the future is still looking bright for the beloved Ubisoft franchise.
