2027: Group demands 5% APC campaign slots for Diaspora

​JALINGO — President of the Nigerian Community in Turkey and Chairman of the Tinubu Diaspora Support Group, Prince Emre Margboh, has urged the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to allocate at least five per cent of its 2027 presidential campaign structure to credible Diaspora representatives.

​Margboh, in a statement on Friday by his media aide, Acho Righteous, said the inclusion of credible Diaspora support groups would further enrich the presidential campaign structure.

​While congratulating the stakeholders who made the list, he stressed that their selection is a responsibility they must take seriously.

​He said: “I also commend Mr. President for directing that the structure should be inclusive and carry everyone along.

​”However, the Diaspora must also be carried along. Nigerians abroad are doing so much for this party and for our country. We are appealing to the APC leadership to consider at least five per cent representation for the Diaspora in the campaign structure.”

​Margboh noted that Nigerians abroad remain critical stakeholders contributing to national development and party growth through grassroots mobilization, direct foreign investments, advocacy, and humanitarian initiatives.

​Furthermore, he stressed that integrating Diaspora leaders into the campaign architecture would expand the party’s international reach and galvanize broader global support for the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

​He charged party faithful across Nigeria and abroad to maintain discipline, foster unity, and prioritize the collective interest of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
