Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff File for Divorce After Three Years of Marriage
Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff are divorcing after three years of marriage, with court records obtained by The Associated Press showing that a divorce filing was made Friday.
A source told People magazine that the split is “a mutual decision,” adding, “They share a deep affinity and love for one another, and though their romantic partnership is ending, they will absolutely be lifelong friends.”
Qualley’s reps did not immediately respond to The Hollywood Reporter’s request for comment.
Although the divorce filing is recent, the pair reportedly separated in July. At the time, a rep for Qualley confirmed the breakup to People and pushed back on speculation surrounding their split.
“The narratives running in the press about Margaret and Jack are categorically untrue. There are no trust issues. There was no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship,” the actress’ rep said in a statement.
Earlier this week, the Bleachers frontman opened up about performing songs inspired by his former relationship with The Guardian. He said he was initially “worried” about performing the songs about but now views it differently.
“It’s actually been really beautiful,” Antonoff said.
“Songs which I wrote recently, I obviously was really worried about this specific thing,” he added. “I sat long and hard with it and thought, ‘If I change the setlist …’ and in my gut there was a unanimous jury that said, ‘No, this is the deal. The deal I’ve made with my audience is that I’m going to tell you honestly how I feel and I’m going to risk at any moment having to stand behind it for fucking ever.’”
The Substance star and Antonoff began dating in 2021 and married in August 2023.
