Chris Pratt Teases Marvel Return: “You’ll See Star-Lord Again, Which Is Very Exciting”

Chris Pratt is teasing his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to reprise his role as Star-Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy.

After Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3, the post-credits assured fans that the “Legendary Star-Lord Will Return,” but that has not happened yet.

With Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars seeing the MCU come together, Pratt’s Star-Lord could potentially return in one of those films. In a new interview, the actor teased that something is in the works.

“I have a great relationship with Kevin [Feige] and Lou [D’Esposito], and there have been both ongoing conversations about how we make good on that promise and also hard action taken to make sure that we make good on that promise,” Pratt said on The Playlist podcast, The Bingeworthy.

Pratt added, “So yeah, you’ll see Star-Lord again, which is very exciting, but I’m not at liberty to say when that’s going to be, but he’s not going anywhere.”

The Parks & Recreation alum first played the role of Peter Quill in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Pratt would then reprise the role multiple times across the MCU. In 2017, the actor starred in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and in 2018 he reprised his Star-Lord role in Avengers: Infinity War.

Pratt would later reprise his role in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder, 2022’s Disney special The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, and 2023’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

It was not only on television and in film that Pratt can be seen as Star-Lord, but he also appears daily at theme park attractions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission: Breakout! at Disney California Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at Epcot, the theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
