Sheen stars as Carlos Holt in the Nocturnal Animals, which is based on Austin Wright's novel Tony and Susan and is adapted by director and fashion designer Tom Ford. Other cast members include Andrea Riseborough, Zawe Ashton, Michael Shannon, Jena Malone and Robert Aramayo.
One viewer on IMDb called it a "sad and terrific movie" that "deserves to be watched many times and any time".
"Great movie," another shared. "You have to watch this movie without thinking it's going to follow a stereo typical Hollywood pattern. It that really has a darkened effect on the audience and Ford has done an excellent job at attacking the mind."
A third suggested it was an "absorbing psychological drama" that is "incredibly stylish, well paced and a visual treat", while a fourth similarly said it was "a beautiful and stylish movie".

"Great performance by all the actors, fantastic plot with a lot of deep meaning and a very atmospheric soundtrack," a fifth wrote. "It's a very unique film. It reminds me of Basic Instinct but without the sex and drugs. It looks like a 90s masterpiece brought from back in time, a solid prove that Tom Ford is a great director."
Over on Rotten Tomatoes, Nocturnal Animals holds a 74% fresh score based on 301 reviews, Third Coast Review calling it "a one-of-a-kind experience", adding: "It’s sexy, dangerous, horrific, and will linger with you long after it’s over."
