Queens of The Stone Age

Queens of The Stone Age Andreas Neumann

It’s a perfecth start for Queens of the Stone Age on the ARIA Albums Chart, as the U.S. rock act debuts at No. 1.

QOTSA leads the latest chart with Perfecth, their ninth studio album. It’s the seventh top 10 appearance for Josh Homme and Co., and their third leader after 2013’s …Like Clockwork and 2017’s Villains. Perfecth is the best seller on wax for the week, earning top spot on ARIA’s Vinyl Chart.

Canadian rock favorites Nickelback start on the chart podium with Everything Under The Sun, their 11th studio album. It’s new at No. 3. Nickelback now have 10 ARIA top 10 albums, including a best-seller with 2011’s Here And Now, which logged one week at No. 1.

Australian actor, singer and comedian Eddie Perfect enjoys a career-best result with Beetlejuice (Live At The Regent Theatre Melbourne), which opens its account at No. 5 on the latest chart, published Friday, Nov. 6. Indeed, it’s a first-ever appearance in the top 50 for Perfect, who reprised the title role last year in the Australian production of Beetlejuice The Musical.

Close behind is Aussie country artist Fanny Lumsden, whose new album Traditions debuts at No. 6 on the ARIA Chart. That’s Lumsden’s third consecutive top 10 appearance and a new career high. Traditions is the fifth studio album for Lumsden, a two-time ARIA Award winner.

Gretta Ray has her own career high with Heartsong, the Melbourne-born singer and songwriter’s third studio album. It’s new at No. 11, besting the peak of her 2021 debut Begin To Love Around, and the No. 17 best for 2023’s Positive Spin. It’s an uplifting comeback for Ray, who endured a five-week hospital stay in 2024 after falling ill with “severe” cardiac disease — infective endocarditis, a rare and life-threatening ailment that can cause damage to the heart.

Also new to the chart is U.S. singer Dominic Fike’s third LP How To Quit Smoking, new No. 22. That bests the No. 34 for his 2020 collection What Could Possibly Go Wrong and the No. 25 peak for 2023’s Sunburn.

Moog, one of the Australian creators of the popular Mighty Car Mods YouTube channel, sneaks into the top 40 with Shift. It’s new at No. 40. The automotive series, launched by Marty and Moog, boasts almost 4 million subscribers on YT.

Over on the ARIA Singles Chart, Tate McRae enters a third consecutive week at No. 1 with “Housewife,” and there’s a post-Halloween bump for Tame Impala’s “Dracula,” which rises 20-13.
