Lazio are alone on top of the Serie A table after 5,836 days, as Gustav Isaksen and Andrea Pinamonti completed the comeback victory over Cagliari.
The Aquile did not expect to be in this situation, especially after crashing out of the Coppa Italia in the first round. Albert Gudmundsson, Nicolò Rovella and Adam Marusic were still out of action, but Oliver Provstgaard returned after he was rested for the midweek 6-2 victory over Sassuolo, their fifth straight win.
The Sardinians had started the season strong, but came into this weekend losing three on the bounce. Harry Winks was back in the squad, leaving only Mattia Felici and Riyad Idrissi as long-term absentees.
See how it unfolded on the Liveblog.

Alieu Fadera drilled wide from outside the area, while Davide Frattesi scuffed his finish into the arms of Elia Caprile after good work from Tijjani Noslin.
It was Cagliari who took the lead when Fadera sprinted down the right and a lucky ricochet off Reda Belahyane saw the ball bounce kindly for him to pull back from the by-line, allowing M’Bala Nzola to tap in from point-blank range.
However, Fadera pulled up clutching his hamstring and was forced to limp off. Romano Floriani Mussolini couldn’t keep the header down from a Mattia Zaccagni cross, but Lazio moments later.

Tijjani Noslin combined with Kenneth Taylor to set up Gustav Isaksen for a wonderful swerving first-time finish swept into the far top corner from 13 yards.
Jacopo Fazzini drilled inches wide, then after the restart Ze Pedro couldn’t keep a header down, with Michel Adopo firing straight at Christos Mandas.
Taylor’s free kick went past everyone to sting Elia Caprile’s gloves, while Noslin couldn’t keep the finish down from a tricky angle and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru penalty appeals were rejected for a Juan Rodriguez challenge.

Oliver Provstgaard couldn’t keep his header down on another Taylor free kick, then Taylor skimmed the near post after a well-worked quick passing move inside the penalty area.
The trademark Isaksen curler off the inside of the left foot skimmed the far stick, but Lazio turned the game around completely. Alessandro Deiola was down hurt after charging down the Dele-Bashiru shot with his face, but the move continued and Alfonso Pedraza while falling acrobatically knocked back the Isaksen cross for Andrea Pinamonti to nod in from five yards. Deiola was visibly dazed and eventually needed a stretcher.
It went from bad to worse for Cagliari, as Adam Obert received his second yellow card for taking down the impressive Isaksen.
