MobLand fans won't want to miss Tom Hardy's "outstanding" crime drama as it lands new streaming home

A mob biopic starring Tom Hardy in a dual role has just found a new streaming home. Based on 1972 book The Profession of Violence by John Pearson, 2015 movie Legend follows Ronnie and Reggie Kray, two identical twins who were embroiled in London's East End organised crime in the 1950s and 60s.

Written and directed by Brian Helgeland, Legend also stars Emily Browning as Frances Shea, Colin Morgan as Frankie Shea, Doctor Who star Christopher Eccleston as Nipper Read, David Thewlis as Leslie Payne, Chazz Palminteri as Angelo Bruno aka 'The Gentle Don', Duffy as singer Timi Yuro, and Paul Bettany as Charlie Richardson.

Legend has been added to Paramount+, which is also available as an add-on channel to Prime Video subscribers. It is also streaming on StudioCanal Presents, which can be similarly added to an existing Prime subscription.

The movie received mixed-to-positive reviews on aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, where it currently holds a critic score of 60% from 171 reviews. On IMDb, fans of Hardy have praised him for pulling double duties as Ron and Reggie, with one person writing that Legend is "an exceptional crime picture with two outstanding performances from one man" and a second arguing that the star "completely disappears into both men".

Hardy has recently returned to mob stories for the screen in the star-studded crime series MobLand. Created by Ronan Bennett and showrun by Jez Butterworth, the series counts Guy Ritchie among its executive producers.

Hardy stars as Harry Da Souza, a fixer for the Harrigans, a powerful London mob family led by Maeve and Conrad, played by Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan.

The cast for the series is rounded out by Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dillon, Jasmine Jobson, and Toby Jones.

Legend is available on Paramount+ and StudioCanal Presents on Prime Video. MobLand is streaming on Paramount+.
