The Zach Cregger helmed reboot collected a strong $12.5 million at the North American box office in its third weekend. It is at #2 in the domestic box office rankings with just a 46.2% drop from the second weekend. The film has a stronghold despite losing 425 theaters. After its third weekend, the film’s domestic total stands at $124.9 million.
Resident Evil is also doing well at the overseas box office, collecting over $16.6 million in its third weekend. It has witnessed just a 38.5% decline from its second weekend.
