HBO is officially adapting the fantasy novels Harry Potter into a major TV series set to release its first season on December 25. Season 1 of the series is adapting the first novel in the franchise titled Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which sets up the entire Wizarding World and introduces viewers to the boy who lived. HBO's CEO Casey Bloys gave fans an early review of the upcoming series in an interview with Bloomberg and stated:
"I have seen the entire season, and it is great, and I’m very, very happy. So, I feel really, really good about that."
