Presley Gerber, son of model Cindy Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber, has died. He was 27.

The model died on Sunday at a rehab facility, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records obtained by People. Details surrounding his death, including a cause, are currently unknown.

“The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” a rep for the Presley family told TMZ. Rolling Stone has reached out for comment.

Presley is the oldest child of Crawford and Gerber and brother to model and actress Kaia Gerber. He began his modeling career at age 15 when he was signed by IMG Models. He later made his runway debut at a Moschino show in 2016 and went on to appear in several other high-profile shows and campaigns, including those for Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, and more.

Though he found early success, Presley struggled with addiction and his mental health from a young age. He was charged with a DUI in December 2019, and in 2020, he got a tattoo on his face that read, “MISUNDERSTOOD.” He appeared to have it removed within a year. In 2025, he shared a since-deleted Instagram video where he opened up about taking several medications to treat “panic attacks,” including Buprenorphine, Xanax, and Valium.

But Presley didn’t shy away from discussing his mental health, saying he hoped that by being open he could positively impact others with similar struggles. “Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do,” he said during a 2023 interview with the Studio 22 podcast.

“[Mental health] is an issue. It is such a big part of my life. It’s a 24/7 job, and there’s so much to it,” he said. “That’s really what I want to do: help people, whether you’re depressed, you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. I mean it could be anything, and there’s no judgment.”
