'Ramayana: Part 1' box office collection day 2 (LIVE): The Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi starrer expected to cross Rs 100 crore on Friday

‘Ramayana: Rise Of A Legend’ released in cinemas on November 5 amid high expectations, with its impressive advance booking figures raising hopes of a strong opening at the box office. The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash,

Sai Pallavi

and Ravi Dubey, among others, opened at Rs 64.85 crore net in India on Day 1.

While it surpassed the opening-day collection of Ranbir's previous release, ‘Animal’, it fell short of the record set by ‘Dhurandhar 2’, which had opened at Rs 102 crore net at the domestic box office. With the film entering its first weekend, expectations are high for a further jump in collections. Friday could see an improvement in footfalls, particularly during the evening and night shows, while the weekend holiday period is expected to bring in more audiences.

Saturday and Sunday could prove crucial for the film as it looks to build on its opening-day momentum and maintain a strong run at the box office. On Day 2, the film has collected Rs 8.55 crore so far, taking its Hindi version's contribution to Rs 6.56 crore. Despite Yash's presence in the film, the Kannada version has not witnessed the kind of traction that was expected, with the Hindi version continuing to account for the bulk of its collections.

With these figures, the film's total domestic box office collection has reached Rs 73.40 crore net. The coming days will be important in determining whether ‘Ramayana: Rise Of A Legend’ can capitalise on the weekend advantage and translate its strong opening into a sustained box office run. Its performance over the next two days will also offer a clearer indication of how audiences are responding to the film across markets.
