This City Is Ours fans blown away by season 2 return and praise "very clever" car wash scene

BBC drama This City Is Ours has returned for season 2 and already has locked in its grip.
The Liverpool-based drama returned on Sunday night, with fans flocking to social media to discuss the intense first episode.
With the full season already available on BBC iPlayer, This City Is Ours returned to the shockingly brutal hit-and-run death of Ricardo (Daniel Cerqueira).
On hearing the news, Michael (James Nelson-Joyce) and Diana (Hannah Onslow) are drawn back into the criminal world they had tried to leave behind.
On Radio Times's official Facebook page, viewers praised the show and – not sharing any spoilers – particularly focused on an intense scene at a car wash that left them gasping.

One viewer wrote: "Car wash scene was very clever, edge of your seat stuff" while another noted: "I know- my heart was in my mouth all through that scene. Like I was THERE!!!!!"
"I genuinely had to turn away it gave me anxiety," wrote a third.
"Nearly jumped off the sofa at the car wash scene. It's going to be good!" another wrote, while a fifth person added: "Soooo good, jumped at the first scene with the hit and run and then the car wash, just wow."
The tightly-constructed drama has encouraged many to binge watch the entire series, blasting through all eight-episodes in the space of one day.
"Binge watched the whole series 2 today. I actually enjoyed this so much" wrote one. "I have the attention span of a goldfish, but I was truly mesmerised by every episode.. that's some fantastic writers , producers & cast."
Thankfully, fans who have already finished the new season are in luck, because season three has already been confirmed by the BBC.
