The local government has opened a pontoon bridge where residents can cross the Tarlac River.

In a report from One North Central Luzon on Friday, the pontoon bridge will serve as an alternative path for residents.

Those headed to the western part of the city will find the bridge especially useful.

Authorities guaranteed that the pontoon bridge is safe to cross. Tarlac’s City Engineering Office also conducted a load test to ensure that it is stable. The bridge was established with the help of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.

Residents are told not to run and jump on the bridge. People are also told not to go on the bridge drunk and to avoid crowding the bridge. —Jean Mangaluz/LDF, GMA News
