Nicolas Cage is ready to flip out in the trailer for the forthcoming movie Best Pancakes in the County.

IFC Films releases writer-director Ken Sanzel’s crime thriller in select theaters and via digital platforms on Nov. 20. Cage, Justin Long, Shelley Hennig, Lauren German, Ravi Patel, Brandon Mychal Smith, Kelly Greyson, Jaylen Moore and Michael Sirow round out the cast.

Starring Cage as a fast-talking con man named The S.O.B., Best Pancakes in the County centers on an unimpressive small-town diner that becomes the location for a violent standoff involving rogue federal agents.

“Nine years ago, there was a hard drive with dirt on the CIA,” Cage declares in the trailer. “I hope the hard drive can be monetized.”

Later, he asks, “Why do you think I insisted on meeting here? For the pancakes?”

Best Pancakes in the County counts Eduard Osipov, Raja Collins, Eric Brenner, Niko Fomenko, Gary Preisler and R. Wesley Sierk III as producers. Executive producers include John D. Straley, Audra Gricius, Jina Panebianco, Lance Kawas, Ahmed S. Boomrod, Eugene Pruss and Nadine de Barros.

Cage’s recent feature credits include The Carpenter’s Son, Gunslingers and Longlegs, along with his lead role on the series Spider-Noir. The Oscar-winning actor can soon be seen starring as NFL legend John Madden alongside Christian Bale in Amazon MGM Studios’ biopic movie Madden for director David O. Russell.

Long’s forthcoming films include the horror title Lice and Amazon MGM’s romantic comedy You Deserve Each Other, alongside Penn Badgley and Meghann Fahy.
