Savannah Guthrie Reveals the Surprising Prediction Lady Gaga Told Her
Savannah Guthrie will always remember this moment with Lady Gaga.
The Today show anchor recalled a cosmic confession that the "Abracadabra" singer made when Guthrie was pregnant with her daughter Vale, 12—who she shares with husband Mike Feldman along with son Charley, 9—back in 2014.
"When I was pregnant with Vale and we didn’t find out if it was a boy or a girl, Lady Gaga came on and she said, ‘I think you’re having a girl,’" Guthrie told cohost Jenna Bush Hager on the Sept. 14 episode of Today. "And I said, ‘Really? How do you know?’ And she said, ‘She told me.’"
The 54-year-old added, "Isn’t that cute?"
Naturally, the anecdote stopped Bush Hager in her tracks.
"What!" she exclaimed in response. "Vale and Lady Gaga had a connection?!"
Guthrie understood her disbelief, saying, "I know! They had a psychic message in utero."
The TV personality's story came as they were discussing the news that Gaga had welcomed her first baby with fiancé Michael Polansky, which multiple outlets reported Sept. 11.
Gaga, 40, has not revealed the little one's name or sex.
E! News previously reached out to her rep for comment but hasn't heard back.

The A Star is Born actress—who got engaged to Polansky in July 2024—had shared insight into her and Polansky's plans to expand their family beforehand, explaining that she envisioned becoming a mom as she reached her 40s.
“Family, it’s like the roots of the tree,” she told Elle in January 2025. “They grow long, and sometimes they’re mangled, and sometimes they’re full of water, and sometimes they’re thirsty. Family is what makes you who you are, and it also defines your need for change."
Gaga also noted that she hopes to raise children that will forge their own path in life.
"I would want my children to understand that whatever my artistry means to them is totally up to them,” she said at the time. “I would never actually want to shape it or tell them how to think about me. Maybe other than that I just did my best. And tried to stay true to myself along the way."
