India announced its 15-member squad for the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand starting November 4 in Auckland.
Captain Shubman Gill and wicketkeeper KL Rahul will be part of the squad for the first three ODIs. Shreyas Iyer has been named skipper for the next two contests.
Uncapped wicketkeeper Kumar Kushagra has been handed his maiden call-up and will replace Rahul for the final two matches. The Jharkhand youngster was part of the India A squads for the recent tri-series against Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A and the home series againt Australia A. Pacers Auqib Nabi and Yash Thakur will also join the squad midway.
Ravindra Jadeja does not find a place in the squad, with Axar Patel and Naman Dhir picked as the spin-bowling all-rounders. Anshul Kamboj and Prasidh Krishna have been picked for the first three games. The latter’s inclusion is subject to fitness clearance.
