Anika Nilles Loses Drumstick During RUSH “Tom Sawyer” Fill, Recovers Like a Champ: Watch
Anika Nilles has been near-perfect behind the kit on RUSH’s “Fifty Something” reunion tour, impressing fans as she fills the shoes of late legend Neil Peart. However, she experienced a little blooper during Wednesday’s show in San Antonio, losing her drumstick during the famous “Tom Sawyer” fill.
Fan-filmed video captured during the set shows the stick flying out of Nilles’ hand, but without missing a beat, she quickly grabs another stick and keeps on pounding away, nailing the fill in the process.
