Deol, who is not part of the India or India A squads at the moment, will be available to Tridents until the end of the tournament. Her signing takes the number of Indian players in the WCPL to five, accounting for a quarter of the 20 overseas slots across the competition.
Deol has played 28 T20Is, having scored 311 runs in 20 innings at a strike rate of 92.01. Her last international appearance came against Australia in March this year.
At the franchise level, Deol has been part of Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz in the Women's Premier League. She has scored 649 runs in 28 WPL matches at a strike rate of 115.68.
She brings further depth and international experience to a Tridents side that already has Kiran Navgire and Pooja Vastrakar providing the Indian flavour in their overseas contingent.
The other Indian players in the WCPL 2026 are Shikha Pandey and Yastika Bhatia, both with Trinbago Knight Riders.
Tridents have played only one match so far in this year's tournament, losing to Knight Riders by 21 runs in the opening fixture on September 5. That match featured starring performances from three Indian players: Pandey (3 for 17), Bhatia (35 in 28 balls) and Navgire (28 in 21 balls). Tridents will face Jamaica Empress on Saturday and Guyana Amazon Warriors on Sunday.
