Kenya Power Announces Planned Electricity Maintenance in Four Regions on September 17

Kenya Power has announced planned electricity maintenance that will affect parts of Nairobi, Kajiado, Nakuru and Kisumu counties on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

The scheduled interruptions will take place at different times depending on the affected areas as the utility company carries out maintenance work on its electricity network.

Nairobi County

In Nairobi, maintenance will affect areas around Chania Avenue, Jamhuri Estate and Moi Girls School from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The affected areas include Eastlands Hotel, French School, Prestige Plaza, Mugo Kibiru, Toi Market, parts of Ngong Road, Toi Primary School and Joseph Kangethe Road, as well as adjacent customers.

Customers in the affected areas have been advised to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the planned interruption.

Kajiado County

In Kajiado County, maintenance will affect Bulbul and Kerarapon from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Areas listed in the notice include Kangawa, SGR, Vet Farm, Juanco, Bulbul, Kerarapon, Masai School and Jogoo Road, alongside adjacent customers.

Nakuru County

In Nakuru County, scheduled maintenance will affect parts of Naivasha Town from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The affected areas include Crayfish, Kwa Muhia, Kongoni, Maiela, Duro Centre, Lake Oloiden Resort, Aquila, Sagutiek, Rain Forest, Ndabibi and Eburru Hills, together with adjacent customers.

Kisumu County

In Kisumu County, maintenance will be carried out around KEDA Ceramics from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The interruption will affect KEDA, Miwani Police and sections of Miwani, as well as adjacent customers.

South Nyanza Region

The notice also lists planned maintenance in Kisii County, around Nyachege and Kerma.
