Several airlines begin resuming flights to Middle East

Several international airlines have begun gradually resuming flights to the Middle East, while others continue to exercise extreme caution due to tensions in the region, keeping a significant number of flights suspended until the fall and early next year, according to Reuters.

While services have largely returned across parts of the Gulf region, Dubai remains one of the hardest-hit destinations, with European and Asian airlines extending their flight suspensions to the city until October or beyond.

The decisions to extend flight suspensions included several prominent groups, particularly Lufthansa, which suspended its flights to the Middle East until October 24.

British Airways also announced the suspension of its flights to Dubai, Tel Aviv, Bahrain, and Amman until October 25, with plans to reduce flights further.

Other airlines extended their suspensions as well, such as Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific until late October, Wizz Air until late October for Abu Dhabi and Dubai and September for Amman, while Air Canada suspended its flights to Dubai and Tel Aviv until mid-January 2027.
