Home and Away reveals Richie's fight for redemption after shock shooting

Home and Away spoilers follow for Australian-pace episodes, which UK viewers may want to avoid for now.
Home and Away's Richie Brezniak is determined to redeem himself after his time as a rookie police officer ended in disaster, with his boss David Langham getting shot.
Now that he's back in Summer Bay, his fellow residents aren't happy to see him. But he's got a plan.

In scenes airing this week in Australia, Richie has a frosty reunion with David, who is struggling to move on from the incident.
David actor Jeremy Lindsay Taylor told Australia's TV Week: "David cannot forgive Richie for what he has done.
"He gave him so many chances, showed him respect, believed in him and repeatedly turned a blind eye to his indiscretions, only to be shot by him!"
With his police career well and truly over, Richie sees a new opportunity: to win the Bronze Medallion race and land a job as a lifeguard.

In the race, he gets out in front of the competition, but he's distracted by girlfriend Abigail Fowler, as her sister Eden is in hospital.
Elsewhere, Justin Morgan has offered him a room, even though he's not got any money coming in. Leah Patterson-Baker is fuming about it, and Justin's decision also puts extra strain on their relationship with David.
Can Richie fix all the damage that he's done?
