Source: Giants, Winston reach 2-year extension
The New York Giants and backup quarterback Jameis Winston have agreed to a two-year, $13 million contract extension, a source confirmed to ESPN amid multiple reports.
Winston, 32, is now under contract with the Giants through the 2028 season.
The former No. 1 pick in the 2015 draft joined the Giants last season and appeared in three games, making two starts. He finished with 557 yards passing, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made him the No. 1 pick in 2015, and he played for the franchise for five seasons before a four-year stint with the New Orleans Saints (2020-23) and a one-year stay with the Cleveland Browns (2024) before joining the Giants in 2025.
He has passed for 24,792 yards with 156 touchdowns and 113 interceptions in his career.
