Sonic the Hedgehog is racing to Netflix.
In a new partnership between Sega and Netflix, a whole host of movies and series will be arriving on the streaming giant. Amongst those is an adaptation of the Sonic game as a new animated series. As reported by THR, VP of Nonfiction and Transmedia at Netflix, Brandon Riegg released a statement and said:
"Great games already have what every adaptation is chasing — characters people love, worlds they know by heart, and fandoms that show up. With Crazy Taxi, Sonic, and Stranger Than Heaven, we get to work across three completely different eras of Sega’s catalog, celebrating everything fans love, while introducing them to new audiences."
