“Hot Topic Live” Performance Series Launches with Pierce the Veil: Watch

Translate

Pierce the Veil played the first edition of “Hot Topic Live,” a new series dedicated to live performances at a custom-built studio at Hot Topic’s flagship retail location in Hollywood, California.

The new series aims to highlight and strengthen the relationship Hot Topic as a brand has had with music over its long lifespan. The intimate setting is similar to NPR’s acclaimed “Tiny Desk Concert” series.

Pierce the Veil performed a three-song set, including two tracks from their most recent album, The Jaws of Life, along with fan favorite “Bulls in the Bronx” from their 2012 album Collide with the Sky.

Frontman Vic Fuentes said of the performance, “We’re excited to kick things off as the first band to perform for ‘Hot Topic Live.’ Our band has grown up with Hot Topic since the very beginning, so it’s really cool to see them create a new space for alternative artists like us to bring our songs to life for the fans. The performance was intimate, the vibe in the studio was fun and loose, and the production team worked hard behind the scenes to create something special for everyone watching at home. We hope you enjoy it.”

Andrea Lewis, vice president of marketing for Hot Topic, added, “Music is in Hot Topic’s DNA — we’re fans first, and our authentic relationships with artists and fans make ‘Hot Topic Live’ a natural evolution in how we show up in the music space. This is an exciting new chapter in our connection to music culture, with a stage that’s unmistakably Hot Topic and moments fans won’t find anywhere else. Launching with Pierce the Veil makes it especially meaningful given our longstanding relationship with the band. We can’t wait for fans to watch and feel that energy for themselves.”

Additional segments that bands may partake in the future include the Q&A segment “Hot Minute,” as well as “My First Band Tee” and “Behind the Tee Wall.”

Pierce the Veil were recently announced as support for System of a Down at a June 5th, 2027, show at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Pick up tickets here.
