He instructed that before closing any complaint, relevant facts and records must be thoroughly examined and verified reports obtained from the appropriate administrative levels. During the meeting, the district-wise crime situation in the state from July 13 to August 23 was also analysed. Additional Director General of Police informed the chief minister that, compared to July 13-19, the period of August 17-23 saw a 0.4 per cent decline in the total number of FIRs, a 5.1 per cent decline in serious crimes, a 3.9 per cent decline in crimes against women, and an 11.2 per cent decline in crimes against Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

In view of the upcoming Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Vishwakarma Puja, and Ganesh Chaturthi, Adityanath directed police and administration to ensure preparations are made with utmost vigilance and sensitivity. He instructed that officials prepare a detailed crowd control plan in advance, considering the large influx of devotees expected in Mathura and Vrindavan.

He directed officials to coordinate with the management of the Shri Banke Bihari Temple to devise a specific plan and arrange for 'holding areas' as required. The chief minister directed the creation of a new police circle in Vrindavan, the deployment of the necessary police force, and the posting of separate Joint Magistrates for Mathura and Vrindavan.

He directed that Shri Krishna Janmashtami be celebrated with reverence and devotion at all police stations and police lines. Attractive tableaux should be set up at police stations, and the general public should be encouraged to participate in these celebrations.

Regarding Ganesh Chaturthi, he directed that special security arrangements be ensured during idol immersion given that several rivers are currently in spate. He instructed that the idols' height be kept within prescribed limits to prevent accidents involving high-tension power lines.

The chief minister reviewed flood relief operations with the District Magistrates of Chitrakoot, Farrukhabad, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, and Barabanki, the UP government said.
