The Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti, has announced Monday, October 12, as the resumption date for its returning students for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Gbenga Aribisala, according to a statement on Saturday, reiterated commitment to ensuring that students progress through their programmes without disruption or delay.

Recall that the university began academic activities on 5th January, 2026 and completed the maiden academic session in August.

Aribisala said, “I am happy to inform you that the university completed the first academic session (2025/2026) this month, while the 2026/2027 academic session will begin on October 12, 2026.

“While returning students are to resume on Monday, October 12, 2026, fresh students will resume on Monday, November 2nd, 2026,” he said.

The VC stressed the importance of maintaining a predictable academic structure.

“The university is committed to ensuring that students progress through their programmes without unnecessary disruption or delay.

“The university will continue to maintain a stable academic calendar, ensuring that academic activities, examinations, results processing and other academic processes are properly coordinated to support the timely completion of students’ programmes.

“The university management remains focused on consolidating the gains of the maiden session, strengthening academic delivery and creating a conducive environment for teaching, learning and research,” he said.
