Badiashile set for Napoli medical, Chelsea agree to remove bonus at total €30m

Chelsea have reportedly given Benoit Badiashile permission to fly out for his Napoli medical on Tuesday, for a €3m loan with €27m option to buy, but the bonuses were removed.
The two clubs had effectively shaken hands last week on the deal, but there was a sticking point in the form of the €1m in add-ons that were attached to the loan.
The delay was so that President Aurelio De Laurentiis could give the all clear on that extra detail.
However, Sky Sport Italia report this evening that he managed to negotiate that €1m off the bill.
Badiashile to Napoli for potential €30m deal
It therefore becomes a loan for €3m with an option to buy at the end of the season for a further €27m, with no add-ons.
It is also only an option and not an obligation to purchase the defender outright in June 2027.
The report notes that Badiashile should land in Italy on Tuesday, but is unlikely to have time to complete the medical tests before Wednesday.
This is because Napoli have also struck an agreement for Italy Under-21 international Costantino Favasuli from Catanzaro, and he will have his medical tomorrow.
As always for this club, the medical tests are performed in Rome at the Villa Stuart clinic, then the player can travel down to Naples.
