India’s Rinku Hooda won gold in the men’s javelin F46 event at the 2026 Asian Para Games in Aichi-Nagoya on Monday, with compatriot Ajeet Singh finishing second to bag silver.

Rinku threw a season best of 65.11 in his final attempt to overtake Ajith’s best mark of 65.02 and reach the top step of the podium.

Ajith’s mark, which he threw in his fourth attempt, was also a season’s best. Indonesia’s Rizal Bagus Saktyono won bronze with a Personal Best throw of 55.30.

The F46 classification is for athletes with a single above or below elbow amputation, or an equivalent impairment.

At the previous edition of the games in 2022, India had swept the podium in the event. Sundar Singh Gurjar won gold with a World Record throw of 68.60m. Rinku bagged silver with 67.08 and Ajeet took bronze with 63.52m.
