The recent release of two Eeveelutions marks a major milestone for the Pokémon franchise, even as fans are hopeful for the arrival of a brand-new addition to the iconic evolutionary chain in Generation 10. It’s been a while since Eevee got its latest Eeveelution, Sylveon. There are rumors about a new Eevee Evolution in Pokémon Winds and Waves, and while more details have yet to be obtained, it looks like a promising moment for the Gen 1 Normal-type creature. While an official reveal is likely still far from happening, Eevee and its Eeveelutions are getting some attention.
In fact, two of Eevee’s evolutions were recently re-released, completing the full set in a game. According to a report by Siliconera, Flareon and Jolteon have finally been released in Pokémon Unite, as part of an update to the game on October 13. With their arrival, all of Eevee’s currently known evolutions are available to use in the MOBA game. It’s worth noting that you’ll need to unlock each Pokémon’s licence to use them in Pokémon Unite, for 590 Aeos Gems each.
Until a brand-new evolution for the Gen 1 creature is announced, the new Eeveelutions in Pokémon Unite complete the set. As seen in Siliconera’s report, Sylveon was the first of them to arrive in October 2021. In May 2022, Espeon was released, followed by Glaceon in July 2022. Umbreon was released in May 2023, and Leafeon was added in June that year. Before the latest additions, Vaporeon was added in November 2025. Regardless of your preferred Eeveelution, you’ll need to start off playing as Eevee in every match.
Each Eeveelution in Unite has a different moveset and archetype, and Flareon and Jolteon play very differently. According to the report, Flareon is an All-Rounder Melee unit with Offense as its highest stat. Effectively, this means that it’s great at engaging in close-range team fights. Meanwhile, Jolteon is a Speedster Melee unit. This Eeveelution release in Pokémon Unite lets you stack up Jolt Counters on enemies, and with them, deal more damage.
For now, this is the most attention the popular Gen 1 creature and its evolutions are getting. It’s not as exciting as a brand-new Eeveelution tease for Pokémon Winds and Waves, but it still lets Unite players experience a few extra fan-favorite creatures.
If you’re a Unite player, you may want to check out the latest additions to the roster, depending on your playstyle. Both Flareon and Jolteon look promising in the right hands. Their recent addition concludes the evolutionary set, but there’s still hope we’ll see more Eeveelutions in Pokémon in the near future.
