Kerala Blasters FC on Friday named Thangboi Singto as the club’s Head of Football Development. This will be Singto’s second stint with the club, where he had earlier served as the technical director and assistant manager to Josep Gombau between 2017 and 2019.

In his new role, Singto will oversee the club’s reserve team and youth development setups. He will also be looking after talent identification, coach education, and other football development initiatives.

“His appointment reflects the club’s continued focus on strengthening its development pathway and building a sustainable football structure for the future... With a role spanning multiple levels of the club’s football structure, Singto’s appointment is expected to further strengthen the integration between youth development and the reserve team,” a statement read.

Singto has earlier served as head of football operations at East Bengal, manager and technical director at Hyderabad FC, and assistant manager at Odisha FC.
