Apoorva Mukhija opens up about leaked kissing video with Amin Jaz, admits she was UNAWARE that camera was rolling : 'When the clip surfaced I cried at Heathrow airport'

Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as The Rebel Kid, has broken her silence on the viral video of her kissing Amin Jaz. In her latest vlog, she shared that the footage was shot at a private party roughly a year ago, and the two were completely unaware that they were being filmed.

She remembered getting the news midway through her journey from Turkey to New York, while waiting out a layover in London. As a flood of messages about the clip arrived, she became overwhelmed and burst into tears at Heathrow Airport.

Neither Apoorva nor Amin knew a camera was rolling at the party, she said. "One of my videos from a year ago has gotten leaked. So this video was like a private moment between me and another guy.

And we did not know that we were being recorded. This was at a private party," she said. The discovery left her stunned. "Aur ye video bohot purani hai. 1 saal purani hai aur ab aayi hai baahar (And this video is very old. It's about a year old and has surfaced now)," she said.

When she reached London's Heathrow Airport, her phone was already flooded with people asking whether she had seen the clip. "My entire WhatsApp is filled with messages saying, 'Did you see this?'", Apoorva recalled.

Apoorva Mukhija's parents watched the clip too

Things got even harder for Apoorva when she learned that her parents had watched the clip too. "This is the first time my parents saw that video. They did not know I had a boyfriend. They had no clue," she said. Coming on top of her private video suddenly spreading online, the realisation left her deeply shaken. Recalling that moment, she said, "So I have lost my mind."

Apoorva Mukhija recalls crying amid the crowds at Heathrow

Sitting amid the crowds at Heathrow Airport, Apoorva said she struggled to process what had just happened.

"I remember I sat at the Heathrow airport, and there were, I think, a million people at that airport. Aur main bas neeche baithke roye jaa rahi hu, roye jaa rahi hu (And I just sat there and kept crying and crying)," she recalled.

Apoorva Mukhija and the India's Got Latent controversy

Back in February 2025, Ranveer Allahbadia's jokes about parents and s*x on Samay Raina's India's Got Latent sparked intense backlash. Apoorva, who was one of the panelists, also came under fire after her interaction with a contestant went viral. FIRs were lodged against those involved in the episode, and she later spoke about receiving death and rape threats.

Apoorva Mukhija's stint on ‘Lock Upp’

Her most recent project was the reality show ‘Lock Upp’, where she spent two weeks as an informant, brought in to disrupt the dynamics among the housemates. The season ended with Shreya Kalra taking the trophy.
